Might filing a police report be helpful?

    Chain your grill.

thieves will often just ‘temporarily relocate’ an item for expediency, and then circle back later to ‘complete the transaction’. That way if they were seen and the police are called, they aren’t caught with the goods. When they feel the coast is clear, they’ll return to collect their loot. It’s always worth walking around the block and looking in adjacent parking lots and behind bushes when you notice a theft – if you are timely, you might recover your goods. Saw videos of this with thieves stealing laptops.

I guess I misunderstood the intent of posting alerts for my neighbors on this website….had I known it was so I could just receive sarcastic remarks, I wouldn’t have registered.

Our grill was chained. Our kind neighbors rescued the grill for us. We called the police and logged it as an incident, but no official report could be made since our grill was recovered.

Sorry Janice. I was just making a quick statement. No sarcasm intended. Thank you for sharing your experience.
