Brief description:
While landscaping I checked on the vacant house 2 doors down. I know the owner lives out of town and saw the door was open. I looked in and saw that all appliances, counters and cabinets had been taken from the property. Literally the kitchen sink was stolen. The furnace and water tank were also stolen. I notified the owner but she hasn’t let me know if a police report was filed.
Also while there I noticed another house 2 more doors down that had the aluminum siding ripped off. That house had the windows open and has been vacant for about a year as well.

Drove by yesterday to check on power and our property. I noticed a white Oldsmobile Sihouette (unsure of year but was 2001-2004 generation) parked across from the property that had most of its siding removed at 561 South Lane. I circled back around the block and saw a shirtless man leaving the vacant house. He hopped into the van and sped south down Parsons Ave. He was early to mid-forties with shorter light brown hair and a mustache. I called the police but because the victim isn’t making a report they say there is no crime. I believe the owner of the home has either passed or is in a nursing home so I guess they will just let the looters pick the house apart and set it on fire since there is no “victim”.

When you told me the story didn’t you say the suspect waved a gun at you before he took off????
THAT’S A CRIME!!
