What scared you the most – his skin color or rapid speech? Just saying…

Justin, a man matching this same description robbed me at knife point and stole my purse and car. The only African American man that would be walking up my stairs is my boyfriend. And this was certainly not him. Thank you to the original poster for posting. I should have been more vigilant coming home from church at 12:45 in the afternoon.

According to the CPD at past Police Luncheons, this is very common practice. They are either casing your home, checking to see if you are home or trying to lure you outside your home. They talk in a fast, urgent manner. Sometimes acting like they know your neighbors. They always try to catch you off guard. CPD says go with your gut, if it feels suspicious it probably IS suspicious and to call the 645-4545 number and report. Especially if they are on your porch or property. AND if you feel threatened at any time do not hesitate to call 911.
