Brief description:
My dog was barking from 3-4:30 AM and wanted in and out. He was acting weird but I had not seen or heard anything that was cause for alarm until I went back upstairs. I heard a loud pop pop that sounded like metal clanging. When I looked out my upstairs bed room window I saw 2 people in dark coats with hoods running from the Packard Building on Kossuth/Washington towards the direction of Whittier/Parsons and one was carrying the metal sign that hung from the building. I immediately called 911. When I went down to wait for the police to to arrive, I saw that they had indeed stolen the sign and did so by using a shopping cart to stand on in order to reach it. The police were not able to find the listing of who owns the building to notify them. If anyone has contact information for them, please let them know as I do not usually see them unless it is warm and the garage door is open.
2 people with dark coats and hoods up. I thought they looked male.
