Evening Police event

An important evening Police Meeting will be held next Thursday, April 24, at 6:30 p.m. at the German Village Meeting Haus (588 S 3rd St.). Commander Strausbaugh and our 11th Precinct Officers will be joined by Commander Meader, Head of the Stolen Property Bureau, to discuss present safety concerns and recovery of stolen property.

Warmer weather always seems to increase criminal activity in all communities. We want German Village to be prepared, along with our 11th Precinct police officers to make our community as safe as possible. Your attendance and information will help.

In the meantime, report-report-report. If you see suspicious activity, call it in to 911 or 645-4545 (non-emergency line). You can also add to your block's safety by keeping your porch lights on and checking on neighbors.

This is a great opportunity to bring your concerns and questions to the attention of our officers. We schedule periodic evening meetings so that those residents cannot attend our Monthly Police Luncheons, so evening sessions offer them a chance to have a conversation with our officers.

This is instead of the regular April Police Luncheon.
